Melanie Ellis (nee Micahnik), age 73, of Chesterton passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at the Northwest Health – Porter Hospital after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband, William Ellis; a half-brother, David Micahnik of Cherry Hill, New Jersey; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Greg and Nancy Kulseth of Bothell, Washington; a very close friend, Annette Derkacs of Allentown, Pennsylvania; and her lovable dog, Gracie.
There will be no visitation or public funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
