Michael Adam Heinrich, 42 of North Judson, passed on November 27, 2025. He was born on July 10, 1983 in Calumet City, Illinois, the son of Thomas Mark Thompson and Nancy (Heinrich) Thompson. Michael’s family eventually moved from the Calumet City area to Wheatfield, where he grew up. A graduate of Kankakee Valley High School, Michael made his over 20-year career with Tyson and Strack & Van Til. He began working in DeMotte and also worked in the Valparaiso and Merrillville store locations. Michael enjoyed going to the movie theater to watch all the latest releases. He was known for his kind heart and will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
Michael is survived by his mother, Nancy Thompson; fiancée, Ellen Ross; father, Thomas Mark Thompson; sister, Tiffaney Atkinson; brother-in-law, Dennis Atkinson; nephews, Zakkery and Kaleb; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Dolores Thompson and Charles and Loretta Heinrich.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on December 23, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
