Miller P. “Herk” Moslick, 88, of Kouts, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023. He was born July 25, 1935, to Miller and Mary (Trembach) Moslick in Cokeburg, PA. Herk proudly served in the United States Army from 1957-1959 in the 4th Armor Division. He later made his career as a Press Operator in the Sheet Metal Department with Urschel Laboratories for over 20 years. Herk was a talented woodworker, who made countless pieces of beautiful furniture for his daughter’s home, as well as his own home and the homes of many neighbors, friends, and family members. He was also an avid gardener who looked forward to a bountiful fruit and vegetable harvest each summer. Herk will be remembered for his funny and dry sense of humor, and his ability to make others laugh. He will be dearly missed.
On October 29, 1966, in Donora, PA, Miller married Carol A. Kidzinski, who preceded him in death in 2019. He is survived by their daughter, Laura (Joe) Garrison of Valparaiso; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, John Patrick Moslick; sisters: Shirley Ann Moslick and Betty Kadusky; and brother, Joseph Moslick.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery. In lieu flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
