Nancy Jean Brown, 76, of LaCrosse passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 18, 2023. She was born February 11, 1947 in Valparaiso to Floyd & Marjorie (Tustin) Naillieux and graduated from Wheeler High School. Nancy made her career as the office manager for her husband’s transportation business, Brown’s Trucking of LaCrosse. Over the years she accumulated a sizable collection of bells that brought her much joy. As computer media allowed later in life she enjoyed participating in “Farmville” on Facebook and joining ARA Cooking Club online to share recipes worldwide. But nothing could compare to following all of the antics and accomplishments of her grandkids and great-grandkids whom she adored without reservation.
On February 11, 1967 she married Eugene M Brown, Sr. who preceded her in death on November 6, 2020. Survivors include their sons; Eugene M. (Dina) Brown, Jr. of Wanatah, David (Nancy) Brown of Union Mills & Christopher (Dawn) Brown of Kouts, siblings; Jennifer Teets, Elizabeth Beach, Matthew Naillieux, Joanne Hart & Susan Ciesielski, grandchildren; Christopher, Emilee, Makayla, Jon, Nick, Sam, Jessy, Baily & Kristen, and great-grandchildren; Jaxon, Lilly, Emmery, Aubree, Ervin, Kaiyden, Brysten, James, Jocelyn, Madelyn, Daniel, Loella, Addisen & Mia. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Marissa Brown, and sisters, Patricia Carney & Barbara Humphries.
A private family memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 26th at Wanatah Funeral Chapel. A public celebration of Nancy’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the VNA Hospice or SHARE Foundation of Rolling Prairie.
