Patricia A. Mullins, 87 of Valparaiso, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022.  She was born September 15, 1934 in Louisville, KY to Paul and Thelma Glaze.  Before retirement, Patricia taught kindergarten, first grade, and third grade at Paul Saylor Elementary School in South Haven.  She was a member of Calvary Church, Valparaiso and the Red Hat Society.
On July 19, 1959, Patricia married J.T. Mullins who preceded her in death on December 6, 2021.  She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Toni Mullins; grandchildren, Erica, Deanna, Alexandrea, and Kimberly; 8 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.  She was also preceded in death by her parents and sons, Paul and James Mullins.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 12:00-1:00 PM at Calvary Church in the Chapel of Hope 1325 E. Evans Ave., Valparaiso with a Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Calvary Church.

We are so sorry to hear the news of Pat’s passing, but know she’s rejoicing in Heaven. Pat was a special lady, that was wise beyond her years, we loved her and J.T. Toni, Kim and the rest of the Mullins family, know you’re in our prayers. -Brian and Linda Gilliand

So sorry for your loss. Pat & I taught little ones at Saylor Elementary. Having boys of her own, she understood the unique needs they have. Therefore, she instigated all-boys first grade classes engaging the students in activity based learning. Her enthusiasm and humor was appreciated by all. What a wonderful teacher and role model!
