Patricia J. Greenboam, 80, of Valparaiso, IN passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Cardinal Care Strategies in Muncie, IN. She was born September 30, 1944, in East Chiago, IN to Joesph & Frances L. (nee Reynolds) Cabeen and graduated from Highland High School in 1962. Patricia made her career as a cook at the iconic Big Wheel Restaurant on Lincolnway in Valparaiso for many years. She had been a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wanatah where she served as a housekeeper at the rectory during Father Jerry Schweitzer’s tenure, where she was involved in the RCIA program, teaching adults to become Catholic. She also attended St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Valparaiso where she was involved in Café Manna, a kitchen helping to feed warm meals to the community.

On August 1, 1964, she married John W. Greenboam, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2016. Survivors include their children: Robert Greenboam, Deborah Greenboam, John W. (Amie) Greenboam, Jr., Catherine Fuchs & Carol (Kurt) Sangster, grandchildren: Charlene, Bobby, Stephanie, Alicia, Jack, Nicole, Emalee, Tyler, Chloe, Johnny, Kayla, Mya, Sofie, Quinn & Xyla, and great-grandchildren: Chloe, Connor, JoJo, Josiah, Jonah, Alyssa, Steven, Alana, Jackson, Cora, Jack & Iris. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Joe, Jerry, Beverly & Norma.

A private family committal ceremony will be held at Angelcrest Cemetery Chapel, Valparaiso.

Enjoy your new life with Jack my precious friend. We shared many good times. We shared sad stories and happy stories. Best of all, you are forever happy with your family members that have passed before you. Some day we will get together again to ride bikes, go camping, and enjoy sitting on a porch sharing stories.
