Patricia L. Betz, 77, of Valparaiso passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 4, 2024. She was born October 29, 1946, in Sturgeon Bay, WI to Charles & Dorothy (Sarter) Alexander, graduated from Chippewa Falls High School, received a B.A. from Valparaiso University, and a master’s degree from V.U. in Liberal Arts, and Geography. Patricia began her career as an instructor at Valparaiso University teaching Geography, Geology and Meteorology before transitioning to become a Realtor with Coldwell Banker in Valparaiso for many successful years. Being a “people person” endeared Patricia to her family, her friends and her clientele, serving her in the best possible way over the decades of her life.
On November 26, 2005, she married Lee Betz who survives along with her daughters; Amy Moyer (Henry Newcomb) of Monona, WI & Alesha Moyer (Christopher Gall) of Valparaiso, stepdaughter, Vicky Bogan (Larry) of Valparaiso, sisters; Becky (Jerry) Graham, Sandy Jensen & Kim (Steve) Wells, granddaughters; Kristen Goetz & Crystal Hall, and great-grandchildren; Andrea, Lucas, Grace, Ella & Boone. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jeff Alexander.
Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory a memorial service will be announced at a later date to be held at Christ Lutheran Church, Valparaiso. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Camp Catch-A-Rainbow, a YMCA summer camp for children with cancer where Patricia volunteered for many years in Jackson, Michigan.
