Patrick McInerney, 63, of Valparaiso passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025. He was born April 8, 1962, In Chicago to Patrick & Shirley (McCann) McInerney, graduated from Valparaiso High School and attended Indiana University. Pat made his career with Weiler Heating & Plumbing for many years managing their office affairs. He enjoyed golfing, attending Masters watch parties with his friends, and the vibrant sounds of classic rock music. His beloved German Shepherd “Magnum” was more than just a loyal companion to Pat, they seemed to have a bond that went beyond the normal bounds of man and dog.
Survivors include his siblings: Kevin (Denise) McInerney of Ft. Wayne, Marilyn (Tom) Moore of Hebron, Sue Smith (Jim Hatala) of Fowler & Peggy (Randy) Parsley of Colorado Springs, and many loving nieces, nephews & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jerry.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 14th from 10 – 11 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Wanatah with Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 am and burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
