Robert “Bob” Dwayne Reedy, 86 of Valparaiso, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025. He was born on February 13, 1939 in Gary, IN to Anna P. (Burley) Metsch and was a member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Kouts, IN. Bob started his career at MidAmerica Homes as superintendent and eventually made the move to BP where he was a union carpenter for over 20 years. Alongside his beloved, Jackie, they had various collections and would often attend shows for items such as Depression glass. One of their favorite pastimes was watching NASCAR and even attended several races together. Bob was a dedicated worker, devoting his time and talents to everything he set to do. While he is now reunited with Jackie, his presence on this earth will be deeply missed.
Bob made a wonderful life with his childhood sweetheart of over 65 years, Jacqueline Sue Wells, who preceded him in death in November of 2024. Survivors include uncles: Bill & Myra Burley and Arthur Burley; and special friends & loved ones: Dave and Judy Jenks, Daniel and Rebecca Jenks, Scott and Lynn Jenks, Darcy and Doug Botchler, Kim and Ed Webb, and Ted Lundgren.
A private service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Kouts with burial to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
