Robert K. Hallberg, 80 of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023. He was born February 9, 1943 in Valparaiso the son of Karl Edward and Hazel Lillian (Peterson) Hallberg. A Veteran of the U.S. Army, Bob made his career in the plate mill at U.S. Steel, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed playing golf, especially at Mink Lake and his passion was woodworking, making, repairing, and refinishing furniture.
On August 5, 1967, Bob married Suzann Brewster who survives along with their sons, Michael Hallberg, David (Shelley) Hallberg, and Thomas (Susan) Hallberg; grandchildren, Lauren and Liam; and his sister, Judith Hallberg. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Nancy Davis and Charles Hallberg.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
