Robert Lee Anderson, Jr., 66 of Kouts, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025. He was born on June 10, 1959 to Robert Lee and Shirley Ann (Shelhart) Anderson, Sr. Bob began his career through the Chicago Pile Drivers Union Local 578 and eventually moved into transporting bulk mail through his business, Hemi Hauling, Inc. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 502 of Hebron. When he was enjoying time off, you could find him hunting, fishing, boating, traveling, and looking for the next car to add to his collection.
Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Alice (Holder) Anderson; son, Christopher S. Anderson; grandson, Dylan Anderson; brother, Colin Anderson; niece, Michelle Fela; and nephew, Christopher M. Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Christopher James Anderson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a Funeral Service on Saturday, August 23rd at 11:00 AM and burial to follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Kouts. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
