Robert M. “Corky” Corcoran, 79 of LaCrosse, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025.  He was born September 9, 1945 in Valparaiso, the son of Mott Lewellyn and Doris Margaret (Crowe) Corcoran.  A Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Marines, Corky made his career at AOC, retiring in 2013.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 403 of Wanatah and the VFW Post 988 of Valparaiso. Corky was a skilled scuba diver and an avid motorcyclist, touring the country on his Harley with his friends.  He always looked forward to meeting his buddies for great conversation, usually about motorcycles and his DeLorean, and a few beers.

On January 6, 2007 Corky married Nancy M. Nelson who survives along with their children, Shane (Karen Swets) Corcoran, Stephanie (Garrett Schultz) Sier, Katie (Matt) Boyd, and Tim (Melissa) Nelson; and seven grandchildren, Dakota, Dylan, Oliver, Elias, River, Barron, August, Hannah, and Ryan.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Joanne Bickerton and Margaret Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held April 26, 2025 from 3:00-6:00 PM at the American Legion Post 403 in Wanatah.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 403 of Wanatah.
