Robert Ray Stalbaum, 68 of Wheatfield, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022. He was born March 2, 1954, in Valparaiso to Robert and Madelyne (Beckmann) Stalbaum. Bob graduated from Kankakee Valley High School in 1973 and made his career as a Farmer in Wheatfield, and a Roofer with Roofers Local 26 for 40 years. He was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in San Pierre, and enjoyed watching football and cheering for the Chicago Bears. Bob will be remembered for his laid back and reserved personality. He will be missed.
Bob is survived by his four daughters: Lana Olson of Wheatfield, Lynn (Michael) Tolan of Indianapolis, Lori (Jeffrey) Walter of Rensselaer, Lindy (Mark) Albers of Avon; ten grandchildren: Andrew, Matthew, Shane, Amelia, Rhys, Kira, Damion, Cody, Trent, and Gracelyn; sister, Kathleen (Allen) David of Wheatfield; and brother, Ronald Stalbaum of Wheatfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Michael Stalbaum.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 10:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m. at the new location of Kosanke Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Kouts, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, San Pierre. Memorial donations may be made to Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church – Food Pantry in Wheatfield.
