Ronald Lee Mattox, 54 of Valparaiso, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. He was born on April 19, 1969 in Valparaiso, IN to Kenneth Mattox and JoAnn (Sitzman) Dawson and graduated from Valparaiso High School. Ron proudly served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a handyman for many years. He had a talent for carpentry and enjoyed working hands-on on various projects. While he can be described as ornery, he had a heart for caring for people. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include sister, Shirley Taylor; brother, Dana (Marla) Mattox; nieces: Brandy (Mauricio) Lopez and Cassie (Rocky) Sutterby; nephew, Zachory (Meagen) Singleton; daughter, Kate; granddaughter, Jocey; and other loving nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Dawn Boehm.
