Rosemarie “Rose” Deiotte, 85 of Valparaiso, IN, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. She was born November 18, 1940, in  Oberkutzenhausen, France, to the late Charles and Marie (Lang) Franklin. Rose graduated from Valparaiso High School, and proudly made her career as a Teacher’s Aide at Benjamin Franklin Middle School for over 20 years. She had a very meaningful career, which left a lasting impact on the lives of her students. Rose was also a devoted member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed roller skating, and she especially loved her family. Rose was dedicated to her beloved husband, sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her spirited and fun-loving personality will be fondly remembered by her family and friends. Rose will be dearly missed.

On February 15, 1960, Rose married Leo Deiotte, who preceded her in death in 2024. She is survived by their son, Tim (Bonnie) Deiotte of Wheatfield; grandson, Ryan Deiotte; and many loving extended family members. She was “Grandma Rose” to Lindsey (Gabriel) Mijares, Cadence, Kyleigh, Izabella, and Bryce. She was preceded in death by her son, Tony Deiotte; and brother, René Battinau.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
