Ruth Jo Arvidson, 94, of Schaumburg, IL passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022. She was born October 13, 1927 to Reuben & Wilmina (Wellsand) Arvidson. Ruth trained as a Registered Nurse and made her career in Pakistan for nearly 40 years as a Christian missionary nurse with Team Mission, the last 3 years serving as Principal of a local girls’ school. Her strong-willed nature, determined personality, and pious faith made her a force to be reckoned with in the challenging environment she chose.
Survivors include her brother, Robert (Josie) Arvidson of Michigan, nephews, Ron (Tammy) Arvidson of Schaumburg, IL, Rick Arvidson of Georgia, Jim Arvidson & Mike (Laurie) Arvidson, and niece Julie (Randy) Mason all of Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Floyd, and niece, Jill.
A visitation will be held Saturday from 10 am – 12 noon at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso, IN with funeral service beginning at 12:00 noon and burial to follow at Adams Cemetery.
