Sandra Kay Morris, 79, of Valparaiso passed away Saturday, November 1, 2025. She was born October 4, 1946, in Detroit, MI to Haskel & Ida (Tipps) Gibson. Her youth was spent growing up in and around Tullahoma, Tennessee before returning north and graduating from Hammond Clark High School. Sandra made her career with Valparaiso Community School food service working at Central Elementary and Ben Franklin Middle School. Her membership at Eastlake Baptist Church provided meaningful Christian nourishment and fellowship. Sandra had been very active serving children’s ministries and nursery duties at her church homes: Barrington Ridge Baptist Church in Hobart, Hoffman Street Baptist Church in Hammond, and First Southern Baptist Church in Hammond over the decades. She enjoyed sewing, caring for her house plants, and regular trips to Kentucky and Tennessee to visit family members.

On February 26, 1966, she married Clifton H. Morris who survives along with their children: Melinda (Brent) Fritzler & Timothy (Karen) Morris, and grandson, Aidan Fritzler. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held Thursday, November 6th from 2 – 6 pm at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso. The funeral service will be held Friday, 10:00 am at the funeral home, Pastor Ben Hammond officiating with burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
