Sandra S. Tomecko, 69, of Kouts passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023. She was born February 5, 1954 in Owensboro, KY to Delbert & Josephine (White)Marvin and graduated from Chesterton High School in 1973. Sandra made her career with Task Force Tips as an Assembler for 32 years retiring in 2021. Frogs of any variety held a special place in Sandra’s life, be they real, stuffed or imagined. Her summer flower garden brought her a satisfaction and accolades. Boating and fishing on Lake Michigan was always a favorite past time. And, hearing her say, “I love you more” could swing your whole day to the positive side. Who isn’t going to miss that?
On August 18. 1999 she married Lawrence Tomecko, Sr. who survives along with their children; Lawrence (Mary) Tomecko, Jr. of Decatur, TN & Angie (Timothy) Tomecko-Johnston of Valparaiso, grandchildren; Britnie Tomecko, Johna Tomecko, Timmy Johnston, Jr. & Magen Johnston, Sandra’s twin sister, Brenda Boule, nephews, Chad & Brian Tolston, great-nephews; Cameron, Cooper & Easton, and Sandra & Larry’s chosen child, Abel Bora. Sandra was preceded in death by one son, John Tomecko in 1990, and her brother, Fred Marvin.
A visitation will be held Monday from 3 – 7 pm at Kosanke Funeral Home, (new location) 309 S. Main St., Kouts. The funeral service will be held Tuesday beginning at 10:30 am at the funeral home with burial following at Graceland Cemetery, Kouts.

Aunt Sandy, you were one of a kind! They say the brightest stars die too soon, and that was the case here as well. Thank you for playing Atari with me in the early 80s, taking me camping and fishing, and definitely thanks for having that one last beer at my house with me.
