Sara Jane Clark, 76 of Valparaiso, IN, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. She was born on August 28, 1948 in South Bend, IN, to Robert and Maxine (Walker) Bennett. She made her career as an accountant for over 38 years and worked at the Exchange in Chicago for a time. Sara loved cats, shopping, Christmas (especially buying gifts), & making jewelry and attending trade shows with her husband, Billy. If you ever met and got to know Sara, you quickly figured out that she was a big talker. There is no one she loved to talk more about than her youngest daughter, Kristen. Above all, she loved her grandkids and supporting them through their life events and endeavors.
On October 2, 1976, Sara married Billy Hugh Clark, who survives, along with their children: Timothy A. (Shannon) Clark, Robin L. (Gregg) White, Troy A. (Monica) Clark, and Kristen M. Clark; sister, Linda Bostic; sister-in-law, Katrina Bennett; 6 grandchildren; and her most precious friend who was with her faithfully to the end, Brenda Ekamp. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Maxine Bennett; and siblings: Flo A. Rice, Robert “Bob” Bennett Jr., and Mary “Sue” Bowlin.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, IN, with a service beginning at 12:00 PM with interment to follow at Angelcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Independent Cat Society.
