Scott Erwin, 80 of Valparaiso, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025. He was born December 8, 1944 in Valparaiso to the late, Daniel and Gladys (Dibbern) Erwin. Scott was the owner of Erwin’s Marine in Valparaiso and attended Bethel Church Hobart-Portage. He enjoyed fishing, r.c. airplanes, and riding bicycles.
On June 19, 1965, Scott married Rebecca Francis who survives along with their children, Josie (Chris) Oxendale and Scott (Erin) Erwin, Jr.; grandchildren, Chelsea Oxendale, Scott (Bethany) Erwin III, Hannah (Josh) Walter, and Caleb (Jennifer) Oxendale; great grandchildren, Christopher, Luke, Leo, Alivia, Laurel, Dahlia, Elliott, Wesley, and William; brother, Ralph (Sharon) Erwin; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a Memorial Service beginning at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Church Hobart-Portage.
