Sharon Christine (Oestreich) Witkowski, age 76, lifelong resident of Valparaiso, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2024, at her home. She was born on December 9, 1947, to the late Charles and Maryetta (Waggle) Oestreich in Valparaiso, Indiana. Sharon retired after working 25 years as a Qualified Medicine Aide (QMA) which she absolutely loved working in extended care facilities. Sharon was a strong, feisty, and independent woman with a great sense of humor. She enjoyed spending time planting roses, watching old westerns, Andy Griffith shows and drinking her Pepsi. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Sharon is survived by her siblings, Chuck (Cherie) Oestreich, Robert Oestreich, Linda (Tom) Johnson, Daniel (Nanci) Oestreich, Doretta (Jack) Hawkins, Sarah Grcich, Kathy (Ron) Hatchett. Two grandchildren; Samuel Lickus-Witkowski, Samantha Martin. Two great grandchildren, Cecilia and Elliot Lambert, sister-in-law, Sally Oestreich and her stepsons, Mike (Jane) Witkowski, Matt Witkowski, Tim (Lisa) Witkowski, Adam (Leann) Witkowski, and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Sharon treasured the friendships of Mike Delapaz, Patrcia Snyder, and Lori (Brown) Vander Woude.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father, Charles C Oestrich Sr.; mother, Maryetta (Waggle) Oestreich, Her beloved sons which were the reason of her survival and will to live:  Scott A. Chess, Jeffery S. Witkowski, and husband David (Po) Witkowski, brothers, Fred E. Oestreich, Ronald L. Oestreich, Brother in law, Michael J. Grcich, niece, Karly A. Hatchett, nephew, Cody Oestreich, stepson, Vincent (Grit) Witkowski, and Sister in law, Eileen Oestreich.
Per Sharon's request there will be no funeral services. Please plant a red rose in her memory.
