Steven Paul Miller, 64 of Kouts, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023. He was born April 23, 1959 in Valparaiso the son of Lloyd and Sarabeth (Reif) Miller. Steve made his career with U.S. Steel as a heavy equipment operator. A member of 4-H himself growing up, he enjoyed raising cows with his sons as they participated in 4-H. Steve also found enjoyment in hunting and fishing.
Steve is survived by the love of his life, Katherine Gordon; mother, Sarabeth Miller; sons, Clayton and Nolan Miller; siblings, Virginia Pressel, Judy Summa, John (Marleen) Miller, Nola (Dale) Stewart; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd; sister, Shirley Riley; brothers-in-law, Bill Riley and Gary Summa; and niece, Rhonda Summa-Walker.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 9, 2023 at 10:00-1:30 pm at Cornerstone Community Church in Kouts.

It’s been many years since I’ve seen Steve yet I was remembering him the other day along with his big purple car. Steve helped me get my sisters dogs to safety when there was a fire at her place years ago. He was always helpful and kind and funny. May you find peace in knowing that he was still thought of 40+ years later…..that’s how much he touched peoples lives. I am so sorry for your loss. -Lillian Walters
