Steven Thomas Selman, 73 of Valparaiso, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023. He was born August 12, 1950 in Valparaiso to the late Robert Ellis and Alma Joyce (Neuffer) Selman. Retiring as a Plant Manager V.P., Steven worked for Small Parts, Inc. for 22 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Valparaiso and loved spending time with family usually on the porch next to a fire.
On April 3, 1970, Steven married Bonnie Hardin who survives along with their children, Brody (Wendy) Selman, Brandi Myers, and David Selman; grandchildren, Troy, Jay, Christian, Mackenzie, Amari, Sharon, and Aleena; siblings, Robert (Bonnie) Selman, Guy (Carla) Selman, Karin (Randy) Kloss, and Patrick (Bobbi) Selman; many nieces and nephews; and his loving fur buddy, his dog, Spatz “Baby”.
A Private Family Funeral Mass was held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, with interment of ashes at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Valparaiso. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Steven’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
