Susan Eileen Creekbaum, 80, of Porter, Indiana passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the VNA Hospice Center. She was born March 21, 1944, in Pennsylvania to Curtis & Dorothy (nee Entler) Tomas and graduated from East Gary Edison High School. Susan made her career as a housekeeper for many local families and then for Porter-Starke Services in Valparaiso. Susan was always a hard worker and prided herself as such. Her religious nature was carried out in practice as she couldn’t help but be as nice to others as she was to herself, especially the parade of small breed rescue dogs that made their home with her over the years. But nothing warmed her heart more than spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children: Scot (Andrea) Creekbaum of Burns Harbor, Matt Creekbaum of Porter, Kelly (Ron) Stringer of Porter, Cynthia (Jerry) Ballog of Portage, sister, Patricia (“Nick”) Nicoletto, grandchildren: Logan, Gaige & Elena Creekbaum, Nicole (Steve) Ramirez, step-grandchildren: Andrew, Jason & Xavier Alaniz, Milinda Romero, and great grandchildren: Ava & Brysen. She was preceded in death by her parents and her former husband, Rocky Creekbaum.
A visitation will be held Saturday, December 7th at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso from 1 – 3 pm with memorial service beginning at 3:00 pm.
