Susan M. Pabon, 79 of Valparaiso, passed away July 1, 2024. She was born February 7, 1945 in Gary, IN to the late Michael and Elizabeth “Betty” (Pych) Toby. Susan made her career as a loan officer and vice president at Calumet National Bank. She enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and celebrating holidays, especially Christmas. Most of all, Susan loved and cherished spending time with her family.
On February 9, 1985, Susan married Edison “Ed” Pabon who survives along with their children, Keith Dowdy, Sam (Amy) Pabon, Collin Dowdy, John Pabon, Jeff Pabon, and Jason (Lory) Pabon, Sr.; grandchildren, Stephanie, Adam, Angelica, Lauren, Natalie, Marycate, Evelyn, Ethan, Jason Jr., Cody, and Christian, Matthew, and Racheal; 4 great grandchildren; and her sister, Marylou Roth.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a Memorial Service beginning at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeshore Paws, Valparaiso.
