Timothy Paul Earle, 69, of LaCrosse, IN, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 23, 2025. He was born December 29, 1955, in Valparaiso to George Leslie “Les” Earle and Doris Amelia (Kneifel) Earle. Tim graduated from LaCrosse High School, Class of 1974. He was raised in the LaCrosse United Methodist Church, and was a current member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wanatah. Tim made his career as a lineman and foreman with Kankakee Valley REMC for 24 years, where he loved his job and everyone he worked with. Tim was a member of The LaCrosse Lion’s Club for 44 years and The Jaycees, served on the town board, and briefly held the position as Mayor of LaCrosse. He enjoyed woodworking, building, gardening, and volunteering regularly. Tim had an unwavering faith and a positive attitude throughout his life, even in times of great tribulation. He will be remembered for his kind and giving heart, and helping others when he could. Tim was a loving and devoted family man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

On August 27, 1977, Tim married Carol Sahlhoff, who survives, along with their children: Kim (Juan Jr.) Nieves of Westville, and Benjamin (Laci) Earle of LaCrosse; grandchildren: Johnny, Serena, Liam, and Micah Nieves, and Lillian, Natali, and Molli Earle; sister, Ann Yarman of Bellville, OH; brother, Tom (Monica) Earle of Kouts; sisters-in-law: Norma Earle of New Paris, and Cindy (Bub) Patrick of San Pierre; brother-in-law, Carl Sahlhoff of Eau Claire, WI; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Henry and Mildred Sahlhoff; brother, Steven Earle; brother-in-law, Paul Yarman; sisters-in-law: Cathy Roseberry, and Kathy Sahlhoff; and niece, Megan Sahlhoff.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kosanke Funeral Home, 309 S. Main St., Kouts, IN.  The memorial service will begin on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 15496 S. 900 W., Wanatah, IN, with Rev. Joel S. Zipay officiating. Burial of ashes to follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Wanatah. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church of Wanatah, LaCrosse United Methodist Church, or The LaCrosse Lion’s Club.
