Virginia Doris Celsor, 92, of Valparaiso, formerly of Hebron passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Avalon Springs in Valparaiso. She was born December 16, 1930, in Newport, Arkansas to Frank & Angelee (Eubanks) Watts. Doris made her career with Western Union for 17 years. She enjoyed creating quilts in her leisure hours and has left a menagerie of these heirlooms to family members over the years.  Membership in the Vale Church of Christ anchored her Christian faith over the course of her adult life.
On May 2, 1964, in Chicago she married Willie L. Celsor who survives along with their children; Scott (Donna) Celsor, of Wisconsin, Lisa (Donald) Claypool of Valparaiso, sister, Kathi Finley, six grandchildren; Erica, Morgan, Alexis, Lindsey, Victoria & Catherine, and two great -grandchildren, Aleah & Wyatt. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Imogene Talley & Madeline Watts.
A visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 - 6 pm at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso with funeral service beginning at 6:00 pm, Pastor Mark Russell officiating.  Private burial will take place Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery. Willie, I am so sorry to hear about Doris, but I heard from Mark Russell that her faith continued thru horrific pain. Praise God for her example! When I worked at Shults-lewis, and you did the garden for the kids ( for years..thank you). Doris made quilts for the yearly auction, and I own two (one is still on my bed everyday).
