Walter “Buddy” Lee, 61 of Valparaiso, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 21, 2023. He was born December 25, 1961, in Chicago, IL to James and Gweneth (Feldolf) Lee. Buddy graduated from George Washington High School in Chicago, and made his career as President and Co-Owner of Videotec. When he wasn’t working, Buddy enjoyed living life to the fullest. You could find him spending time at Dewey Lake, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, snowmobiling, boating, golfing, and fishing. Wherever Buddy went, he was the life of the party. His outgoing and charismatic personality endeared him to everyone he met. And while Buddy’s larger than life persona will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him, he lives on in the lives he touched while he was here. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted family man, who put his wife and children above everyone else.
On February 17, 1996, in Islamorada, FL, Buddy married the love of his life, Lynn Gallagher, who survives, along with their four children: Jessie Lee of Chicago, IL, Bobby Lee of Valparaiso, Jenny Lee of Valparaiso, Tommy Lee of Valparaiso; mother, Gweneth Lee of Valparaiso; sisters: Jaimy Maxey and Karen (Dan) Fitzpatrick; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Lee; and brother, Robert Lee.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso, with a funeral service beginning at 6:00 p.m.

I always enjoyed seeing and talking to Buddy - especially at football games. He was always proud of his family and passionate about anything they were involved in. He was a kindhearted soul as well, and his enthusiasm and exuberant personality endeared him to everyone he met. Buddy, we first met about 15 years ago at the PSA Owners Convention. Since that moment, Jane and I truly looked forward to that event because we got to hang out with you and Lynn, such a fun and wonderful couple. We always had a great time with the two of you. I always looked up to Buddy as a very successful business owner, and remember our last dinner together and conversation in Hilton Head.
