Wanda A. Witulski, 94 of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024. She was born February 21, 1929 in East Chicago, Indiana, the daughter of the late Teolfil and Adela (Piskorska) Siurek. Wanda and her husband built their house in rural Valparaiso, where she enjoyed caring for two acres, whether it was tending to her extensive flower gardens or mowing the grass on her riding lawn mower. She kept her mind sharp with puzzles of all kinds, jigsaw, crossword, and number puzzles to name a few. Movies and attending live performances were a favorite of Wanda. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and her beloved neighbors.
On January 23, 1950, Wanda married Walter Witulski who preceded her in death in 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Sally (Robert) Bartlett; granddaughters, Emily (Tim) Shaw and Helen (Andrew Weber) Bartlett; brother, Leonard Siurek; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 1 sister and 5 brothers.
In accordance with Wanda’s wishes, no services will be held with cremation at Angelcrest Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the VNA Hospice of NWI.
