William Larry Reynolds, 77 of Portage, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 1, 2023. He was born March 30, 1946 in Harrisburg, IL to the late William and Carrie (Sinsabaugh) Reynolds.
Larry married his high school sweetheart, Sheryl Funkhouser, on April 23, 1968. They were married for 51 years before she preceded him in death in 2021. Larry retired as a diesel mechanic from Jack Grey Transport, was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Valparaiso, and served in the US Army during Vietnam. He was an avid bicyclist and loved working in the yard and recycling.
He is survived by his daughter, Traci (Rob) Wilkinson; grandsons, Jacob and Danny (Alyssa), 2 Great-grandchildren; and siblings, Sherry Paxton, Steve Reynolds, and Patricia Foster. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Danny and sisters, Pam and Melissa.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 9, 20223 at 6:00 PM at St. Andrew Episcopal Church 505 Bullseye Lake Rd., Valparaiso.
