William Mullin, 87 of Chesterton, IN passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15, 2025. He was born on August 21, 1937, in Valparaiso to the late William and Selma (Kroencke) Mullin. Bill proudly served in the United States Army National Guard. He made his career as an Electrician with Bethlehem Steel for over 30 years before retirement. As his sons grew up, Bill especially enjoyed coaching their baseball, basketball, and football teams. He was a loving and devoted father who cherished time with his sons above all else. Bill also enjoyed golfing, cheering for the Chicago Cubs, and spending time at the Banta Center playing pool and cards with friends. He will be dearly missed.
Bill is survived by his sons: Joseph (Pam) Mullin of Chesterton, and Patrick (Quinn) Mullin of Valparaiso; grandchildren: Hannah, Nathan, Avery, and Penny; brother, John; and sister, Katie.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Banta Center, 605 Beech Street, Valparaiso, IN 46383.
