Zuzanna Anna Nowacka, 79, of Valparaiso, formerly of Illinois, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025. She was born September 25, 1946, in Poland to Joseph & Edwarda (Zadora) Bielak. Zuzanna made her career as a housekeeper at various hotels in the Chicagoland area for many years. She was a member of Divine Mercy Polish Parish in Lombard, IL. Cooking and gardening were some of the pleasures she enjoyed providing for her family. Her post-war childhood in Poland and eventual emigration to the U.S. with her husband and young family taught her to appreciate the simple joys of life.

She married Stanislaw “Stanley” Nowicki who preceded her in death in 2010. Survivors include their children: Joanna (John) Rotole of Valparaiso, Marek (Viola) Nowacki of Mundelein, IL, and Pawel (Michelle) Nowacki of Anchorage, AK, and grandchildren: Sylvia, Anna, Jacob, Ella, Abi, Julia, Ben, Breanna, and Courtney.

A funeral mass will be held Friday, November 28, 2025, at 10:00 am at Divine Mercy Polish Parish, 21 W. 411 Sunset Ave., Lombard, IL, with visitation at the church from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, IL.
