Priscilla J. Hansen, age 79 of Valparaiso, Indiana, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025, peacefully at home. She was born February 14, 1945, in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Charles Ernest and Esther (Hufford) Carter, received her bachelor’s degree from California State University-Stanislaus in Psychology and had worked in the banking industry. She was a proud member of AA having achieved over 40 years of sobriety and loved helping others achieve their sobriety. Priscilla was an avid reader with a curious mind and was always eager to learn. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved to share what she had learned.
Priscilla is survived by her daughter; Kara (Mark Hett) Hansen of Grayslake, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, older sister, Melinda and younger sister, Karyn.
A celebration of Priscilla’s life will take place in the near future. Memorials may be made in Priscilla’s name to the VNA Meals on Wheels of Porter County.
